I have to admit, I am a curriculum junkie. I love looking at curriculum, I love researching curriculum and I love trying new curriculum.
In fact, on my ‘homeschooling curriculum bucket list’ there aren’t a whole lot of companies left. Winter Promise was in fact on that list and I was overjoyed to give one of their new studies a test drive.
My 10 year old and I are in process of this test drive, but, I can tell you a few things already.
I choose this particular study because it was beautifully illustrated and covered a topic that I hadn’t seen too much on already.
Winter Promise studies are written in Charlotte Mason fashion which is right up my 5th grader’s alley.
I also like that this is very much an ‘experience’.
And also – it includes a schedule. While a schedule is a guide and not a master, it’s nice to have it all laid out for you.
Stay tuned for a more indepth review….but in the meantime, please mark your calendar for September 30th when Winter Promise will be having their Facebook Party!
Equally exciting is that Winter Promise is introducing a brand new sister site called Spirited Autumn Hope! This new site will contain SHORTER studies in comparison to the year long themes that Winter Promise publishes just like the study I mentioned above. You can check them out AFTER September 30 at this new website.
