Lesson Learned Light-Bulb Moment
The Spiritual Circle Journal for Kids and Teens is definitely a quick, easy and fun way for kids ages 8+ to write their thoughts and encourages them to set aside quiet time with God regularly.
The journal is easy enough to set up and implement. In each graphic box there’s room for about a sentence or a couple of important points. Done weekly, the writing portion will take about 15-20 minutes. Then the child can refer back to the page each day for prayer. This helps to instill a love for spending time with God. And, also serves as a record for answered prayer.
For reinforcement and retention, it’s suggested to have your child teach you what they have learned. Not only is that good for their spiritual health, but, helps the parent-child bond.
Each page is printed on heavy paper which makes it perfect for adding embellishments like glitter, stickers, googly eyes or even painting on the page itself.
Our Experience with Spiritual Circle Journal for Kids and Teens
One thing I really liked about this journal is that it really does break different areas of prayer and life down into small, manageable, bite-sized chunks.
My 12 year old is a very creative girl who does not want to get bogged down with a lot of detail. The Spiritual Circle Journal for Kids and Teens was perfect for her to just jot down her thoughts and add a touch of fun and color too.
Since it was only a 15 minute writing commitment, she was willing and able to complete the journal page without issue or attitude. But, because she’s just about a teenager, I did respect her privacy and not read through each journaling box. We agreed to have her share what she was comfortable with and asked that she commit the rest to prayer.
Bible journaling is certainly ‘hot’ right now and having an option just for kids is a great idea! This worked well for my picky daughter and think that any child would enjoy it as well. It’s an easy way to help your little one grown closer to God.
